Freelance Coaching and SchoolingGraham Camplin-Smith BSc
I have worked in several areas of the Horse Industry. Originally working in riding schools, I then moved in to the eventing world as a groom for Claire Brazil before moving into showjumping and then going to work at Berkshire Agricultural College. I regularly compete at Dressage, Eventing, Show Jumping and Showing. I have trained and prepared youngstock for Sport Horse Sales, worked with the Pony Club and been involved in the design of the cross country course at Burghley Horse Trials.
Coaching:
I currently teach riders on their own horses whether for competition, or simply so they can gain confidence and enjoy their horses more. I am currently training for the UK Coaching Certificates with a view to becoming an Accredited Coach for British Showjumping. I am also taking my British Horse Society Instructor Exams to further my standing in the industry.
Schooling:
There comes a time in every horse owners life when things may not be going as planned. It could be that your youngster is testing their boundaries or that your young horse is not progressing as required, sometimes it could just be that your horse has reached a stage that you can not progress beyond, or it is time to sell and you want your horse's skills sharpened up and shown to their best advantage.
I school horses from youngstock handling, right up to affiliated competition level. I have successfully re-trained a number of horses that have previously been 'written off' as unrideable, due to my patient and calm approach. To keep up my skills in this area, I regularly have lessons on his own horse.
For the older horses I can offer re-schooling solutions, whether there a particular problem you need solved or you feel that you require assistance in the further development of your horse. Each 'programme' can be tailored to you and your horse's needs in order to develop to your horses ability. |
